Chatarpaul Law Offices was founded by Jay Chatarpaul, who is the principal attorney of the Firm. Jay received a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting and a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Political Science from Brooklyn College. Upon graduation, Jay was accepted into the Law School of the State University of New York at Buffalo. During his time in Law School, Jay became a senior member of the editorial board of the Buffalo Law Review, which is a student-run journal that edits and publishes articles written by law professors, judges and other law students. Membership is based on writing competition. Jay was also awarded the Connelly Award for superior oral arguments skills in a moot court trial advocacy clinic.
